Alevkaya (Alepka) is a peaceful mountain sanctuary situated at 600 meters on the spine of the Kyrenia mountains. It is home to the North Cyprus Herbarium, curating over 1,200 preserved botanical specimens including endemic wild orchids and ferns.

Dense Calabrian pine forests surround the station, equipped with scenic picnic pavilions and shaded hiking trailheads winding along limestone crags.

  • The Alevkaya picnic site is equipped with freshwater fountains and timber pavilions.
  • Trailhead starts here for the forest hike to Sourp Magar Armenian Monastery.
