Cedar Valley (Troodos & Paphos Forest)

Secluded mountain sanctuary home to thousands of indigenous Cyprus short-needled cedars and forest air.

Cedar Valley is a remote ecological gem tucked deep within the rugged Paphos Forest. It shelters vast groves of the endemic Cyprus cedar (Cedrus libani var. brevifolia), found nowhere else in the world.

A tranquil walking trail leads up towards Tripylos peak (1,362m), revealing sweeping panoramic vistas across untouched mountain ranges and Morphou Bay.

  • The scenic mountain roads are winding; drive attentively.
  • Hike up to the Tripylos fire lookout for breathtaking 360-degree panoramas.

How to get there

Accessible via mountain roads from Kykkos Monastery or Panagia village through the Paphos Forest.
