Tochni Stone-Built Village

Historic hillside village built of local golden limestone, featuring a river bridge church founded by St Helena.

Tochni is a cornerstone of Cypriot agrotourism, cascading across two slopes of a picturesque valley. The traditional houses are built from the renowned golden-hued 'Tochni stone' quarried locally for generations.

Spanning the riverbed at the village center is a historic stone bridge supporting the Church of Saints Constantine and Helena, traditionally founded by Empress Helena during her voyage from Jerusalem.

Tips before you go

  • Stroll across the unique bridge church connecting the two sides of the village.
  • Hub for road and gravel cycling with dedicated rental centers in the village.
  • Wonderful collection of restored heritage houses for overnight stays.

How to get there

Exit the A1 highway midway between Larnaca and Limassol following signs to Tochni.
