Argaka Coastal Pine Beach

Serene miles-long dark sand and pebble beach where fragrant pine forests reach down to the water's edge.

Argaka Beach spans uninterrupted along the sweeping curved shore of Chrysochou Bay northeast of Polis. It is distinctive for its fragrant pine groves that tumble directly down to the water line.

Free from heavy crowds and high-rise developments, the shoreline offers clean open swimming, natural tree shade, and some of the most spectacular direct sea sunsets in Cyprus.

Tips before you go

  • Mature pine trees offer natural shade along several stretches of the sand.
  • Position yourself here at twilight for unhindered direct sea sunsets.
  • The sands serve as protected nesting grounds for loggerhead sea turtles in summer.

How to get there

Drive 7 km northeast of Polis along coastal road E704 toward Pomos.
