Green Bay & Underwater Statues

Top snorkeling and dive cove in Protaras featuring submerged classical sculptures and frequent sea turtle encounters.

Green Bay is a sheltered cove famous for its crystal clear waters and vibrant underwater life. Around 100 meters offshore at 7–10 meters depth lies an artificial underwater sculpture park with classical statues and Greek columns.

Green turtles and loggerheads frequently graze in the posidonia meadows, delighting snorkelers of all ages.

Tips before you go

  • Bring your own mask and snorkel to explore the underwater statues.
  • Swim early in the morning before dive boats arrive for the best chance of turtle sightings.
  • Wear reef shoes for walking across the natural limestone ledges.

How to get there

Located on the southern fringe of Protaras towards Cape Greco; park at the designated Green Bay lot.
