You must prove an ongoing foreign income of at least €24,000/year (€2,000/month) for the main applicant (+20% spouse, +15% per child) remitted into a Cyprus bank. An additional balance of around €10,000 plus a €550 bank guarantee per person is standard.

No, airlines will not allow boarding on a return flight with just an application receipt. If you need to travel before your biometric card is issued, you must apply for a Re-entry Visa at the Migration Department in advance.
