Main Vehicle Checkpoints

• Agios Dometios (Metehan) in Nicosia: the busiest 24/7 crossing point for vehicles.
• Pergamos / Dhekelia: most convenient when driving to Famagusta from Larnaca or Ayia Napa.

Crossing Requirements

1. Valid passport or EU national identity card for every passenger.
2. Vehicle logbook (registration certificate).
3. Northern Cyprus third-party car insurance purchased directly at the checkpoint counter (approx. €25–€35 for 1 month).
