Ancient Kourion

Greco-Roman cliffside theater and mosaics overlooking the sea just 20 minutes west of Limassol.

The most dramatic archaeological site near Limassol. Its 2nd-century BC theater looks straight out over the surf of Kourion Beach.

The House of Eustolios mosaics are covered by a canopy, while the rest of the plateau is open to the sky.

Tips before you go

  • Combine with a swim at Kourion Beach right below the cliff.
  • Bring water and a hat — the sea breeze masks strong UV on the open plateau.

How to get there

20 minutes west of Limassol via A6 motorway (Episkopi exit) or bus 16B.
