Pre-Purchase Checklist

1. MOT Safety Test: Mandatory every 2 years for vehicles over 4 years old (fixed fee of €35.25).

3. Clear Title: The seller must present the original vehicle logbook.

Title Transfer Procedure

Both buyer and seller visit the Department of Transport (TOM) or a Citizen Service Centre (KEP) with form TOM 9B, insurance certificate, and €10 transfer fee.
